HERITAGE & CRAFT:

This 1931 Dodge Sea Nymph is a rare artifact from the golden era of wooden runabouts. After the Dodge brothers made their mark in automotive history, Horace E. Dodge Jr. pivoted to boats—launching Dodge Boat Works and applying car manufacturing techniques to build unique mahogany runabout boats. With powerful Lycoming marine engines and racing pedigree, these boats were known as “Watercars”, fast, stylish, and ahead of their time.

HIGHLIGHTS:

• Rare survivor from Horace Dodge's Boat Works legacy
• Fully restored with no-soak hull and red interior
• Trailer included for easy transport or display
• Freshwater-only use; never exposed to salt

FULLY RESTORED:

Excellence in Every Detail
Lovingly restored, this Sea Nymph was updated with a no-soak plywood hull while maintaining its original craftsmanship and lines. The mahogany gleams, the red interior contrasts beautifully with the woodwork, and every element has been rated excellent. It’s as much a showpiece as it is seaworthy. A true collector's gem.

SHOW IT OR CRUISE IT:

Display-Ready. Water-Ready.
While “Royal Crown” has never been started or launched by the current owner, it was restored with freshwater-only history and has been preserved out of water since. Paired with a trailer, it can be easily transported or displayed as part of a private collection. For those who choose to run it, the two marinized engines of the day were 30-32 HP. Dodge chose to marinize a 40hp Lycoming engine which made it the fastest in its class, capable of 35 mph—true speed for its era.
