I am selling my unfinished 44 ft steel, Bruce Roberts design sail boat . It is a single mast, ( 50 ft on deck tall ) With 4, New in the Bag sails, Genoa, Working Jib, staysail, and main sail. 13 ft beam and 5 1/2 ft draft displacement is 13 tons, or 26,000 lbs. Design is a Bruce Roberts Maritius 43, but boat is actually 44 ft 4 inches on deck. The boat hull and deck , ( All Steel ) were professionally built, when I began years ago. . I have most everything needed to finish to boat, with Many new, still in the original box parts and stuff.

Some boxes were damaged with the Hurrican, but include Sails, Mast Rigging, Stainless winches, both for mast mount and deck mount, pedestal steering, Port holes and Hatches, and diesel engine as well. Engine is a 52 HP Vetus Peugeot, and a 2nd spare parts engine. There is also all kinds of extra goddies that a typical boat builder collects with this size of a project. PLEASE TEXT ME SO I CAN HAVE A RECORD OF YOUR CONTACT. It tends to get lost going thru CRaig List

Recent Hurricane Florence, destroyed the building that I was keeping most of the finishing inventory in. I am selling this boat for a very low price. Time and life changed my plans, and I am no longer wanting to go Far Away sailing.

Boat is in good condition, except for the deck. It needs to be repaired in several places, then
re-sandblasted and painted. There are several locations on the deck, that require metal cut out and replacement on the deck, prior to sand blast and paint. Nothing structurally significant. Hull and interior are all still good. There may be a couple of small spots on the hull needing repair. Mast and rigging was set up years ago and mast was raised, but is now laying on the ground. Boat was spray foamed inside , and some interior work has been done, engine is installed but never cranked, but has been turned over by wrench from time to time.
There is 6,000 pounds of lead ballast installed as molded forms, plus 1,000 lbs. of concrete in the keel. 3 stainless water tanks. This is a PROJECT boat and for some one wanting to sail the world, as I once thought of doing. I have included a whole lot of inventory for a very low price. It would require someone with skills to do most of what needs to be done. Unless you have lots of funding LOL and can pay for someone else to finish. The Beauty of the boat’s current condition, is that you can customize the inside and deck, as you need and want. And you can always Just Learn, as I did along the process. Which is wonderful knowledge to have.

A couple extra notes. The 50 ft mast is double spreader, and stepped on deck. The lifeline post sockets and pulpit and push pit, are all welded onto the deck, and the bullworks is boxed in and not a piece of angle iron. Many corners of the cabin were inlaid pipe, and made for rounded corners. Some of this will need steel repair. This was all custom work as well. I think most all mast parts are still there, but storm damage and clean up may have lost some pieces here and there. I also may sell off a few bits and pieces, but most will still be included, as of yet I have not sold any inventory. and there is still a HUGE amount of inventory. I do play to try and get rid of the wood I have been storing. You may have other ideas on what to use and how to do it.

This Boat Will need to be moved to your location after sale as the current STORAGE property will hopefully soon be sold to new land developer, who would like to clear the lot. The Boat jack stands are included, and there are parts to make more jack stands. You will also need a space about the size of small container for storing all the inventory. I have over thousand in the boat, and paid just for the custom steel work yrs ago. My of 8,000 is an AWESOME deal for all that is included. Interior pics will give you some idea of interior conditions, but seeing in person, is really what you need to plan to do. Pics will not show what is needed or what is there.

Boat was originally sand blasted inside and outside. Outside was primed with Pettit Rust lock steel primer, a silver looking/based paint, then the outside was painted with 10 gallons of 2 part epoxy and then 10 gallons of 2 part polyurethane paint. As you can somewhat see from the pictures. The interior was sandblasted, and primed with and industrial paint "Red Lead" then it was foamed with 2 part polyurethane foam . The Deck needs to have steel repairs and then re sandblasted and painted again. Most steel repairs will be somewhat straight forward, and NOT elaborate. There are a few spots on the hull showing rust, that will be easier to fix as well.

CREATIVE FINANCING ; If you have one or more credit cards with enough credit to make up 8,000. My wife can charge your card usind her Square payment system. Getting money from a lender will be difficult without a great deal of Red Tape and frustration. I know from past experience. Because the boat is NOT finished and No recent builder of note.

So you could purchase this entire package , with your credit card, or cards, and make payments as you like. If you are real smart, you could flip the card balance every 6 months or every year and pay almost No interest. Options are nice…….

If you can not pay for this boat with cash, I do not know IF any lending company would loan money as well. Best of luck. And I am NOT in a position to accept payments , espceially on such a small amount. I need the boat paid for and gone from the property.

Please text me your email and I can text or email you back my current email Craig List will not allow me to do that.
