DESCRIPTION:
1952 Resorter
Years of work just do but I just do not use it anymore, (getting into fishing) Ws a fun project. Hercules 95hp straight 6 with Chris Craft Manifold and polished exhaust. Treated metal to keep shine. Fully rewired and added fuse box, bilge pump and blower. No rot. Keep covered on trailer in garage when not in use. Thick canvas cover. Replaced gas tank with custom aluminum tank and added fuel water separator / filter. Gauges all work and are original. Re-chromed. Glass for windshield is in barn. (removed to re-chrome supports and just haven't reinstalled.) Replaced copper head gasket when inspecting and cleaning the engine. New vulcanized motor mounts. Rebuilt Zenith carburetor. After I spent time in Italy, I noticed all their wood boats had glassed hulls so 12 years ago I had mine glassed as well. Not to mention the water here is brackish and I had no intention to soak it in this water. Added thru hull cutoff valves and hose to separate to flush motor. Although not "classic" it is very functional for a trailer boat. No leaks or separations. Just seems wrong to let it just age in the barn when someone could use it
