It needed more of the maintenance all boats need to keep them in a good shape and in appearance that will make an owner proud to own it and very happy to cruise around the bay.
All parquet floors varnished throughout. New paneling has been put in salon and new carpet in forward cabin.
The “John Walker “is ideal for anyone looking to have a live aboard boat, to avoid skyrocketing rent prices, or to have a local cruiser to spend the weekends on. All main components of the boat are in great working condition that makes the transition to the new owner a breeze.

Grand Banks’ enduring popularity can be attributed to superb engineering and construction, timeless styling and a proven semi-displacement hull design. Her fine entry, combined with a moderate beam and full-length skeg keel give the GB 42 excellent seakeeping characteristics in a wide range of sea conditions.

This beauty is regularly varnished, buffed & waxed. Her stainless shows like new and her Ford Lehmans starboard had low hours since liners pistons and bearing were replaced also fuel injector serviced. Port in good shape. One very good feature is stainless oil catch containers under the engines to keep oil out of the bilges. Has an old hour meter with time hours of 746.8
A haul out and bottom paint was done in the spring of 2018.
Please note::: I really would like to keep John Walker but after enjoying the bringing her up to the beauty that these yachts have with the comfort they give on their owners I have to turn my time to other boats I have. Thanks for looking and to interested parties this boat has a lot to offer for a new owner.

The John Walker is in very good shape and to new interested parties I will split the cost to haul boat out of the water and power wash bottom at local marina.

Walker is on a private dock and will have to be moved within a week.
