DESCRIPTION:

- Extensively updated and maintained professionally, bottom cleaned monthly, shaft zinc replaced every 6 months.
- Great for living aboard, singlehanded sailing plus cruising, and racing. Main cabin 6'3" standing head room.
- Sleeps 8 with dinette table lowered and bench set back raised and locked for upper and lower sleeping with lee cloths.
- Same meticulous owner since 1975(USCG licensed 100 ton, near coastal Master with sailing and towing endorsements for 10 years, degreed mechanical/aerospace engineer).
- Original Coronadchures included. Only production boat ever made with keel trim tab (operated by lever in cockpit) like America's Cup boats. This boat, hull #30, was built in N. Hollywood by Frank Butler. Butler later sold Coronado molds to Columbia Yachts, Costa Mesa, when he started the Catalina Yachts company in Woodland Hills.

- Aqua Signal tricolor masthead light plus standard USCG deck and steaming Nav lights with cockpit selector switch.
- 5 winch handles for the Barient 22, stainless 2-speed primary winches, Barlow 16 secondary winches, mainsheet winch, and 4 mast winches(mainsail, headsail, and P/S spin/bloopers). Cam cleats on cabintop for Kevlar cunningham, traveler spin/blooper halyards, topping lift, and cabin side preventer/vangs. Clam cleats for mainsheet, foreguy, and cockpit winches.

- Bottom paint removed and hull, keel, and rudder faired with WEST epoxy with 3M glass microballoons. All thru hull fittings are flush to hull for less drag. Signet knotmeter paddlewheel moved from port side hull to hull centerline 1.5' in front of keel.

- RED EYE was never beaten by another Coro30 in 4 years of racing DPYC Series races, Around Catalina races, DP around San Clemente Island to San Diego. Was first overall in 71 boat Seal Beach to Dana Point 1979 race. Raced 3 Newport to Ensenada races never worse that 8th in class(usually about 30 boats). Owner and 3 crewmembers for all races.
