DESCRIPTION:
Classic 222 Aquasport center console open fish with a brand-new Yamaha 140 HP commercial 2 stroke engine and a high-end aluminum twin axel Ventura trailer! I finally realized that I won’t be able to enjoy “Butterbean” anymore. I am 80 years old and have severe mobility issues because of my stenosis of the spinal canal among other accompanying delightful aliments. I hate to sell her, but I want someone else to enjoy her like I did.
There is no boat that does everything well, but Butterbean is as close as it gets. We owned three 222’s over the years for that reason. She is extremely sea friendly on the open ocean but will run in 18 inches of water on the flats because of her semi-V hull that is unlike today’s design that is constructed with plastic whereas Butterbean is all hand laid fiberglass. She is all fiberglass with stainless hardware, Lee rod holders & outriggers along with a Cannon deep trolling rig. One of the most important features of the Bean is that she is self-leveling and has no foam below deck which absorbs moisture which can add to a lot of weight and the benefit of making the fuel tank more accessible. Butterbean also got a new battery, steering, and all fuel lines recently replaced.
I am selling her turn-key and including a chart plotter, live well setup, all my fishing gear that includes a large tacklebox with lures, 2 Penn international 30lbs rod & reels, 50-80lb Shimano 2-speed Beastmaster, IGFA Rod International Game Fish Association (about ) and 2 spinning rod & reels.
I have owned many boats including Big Blue my 45’ open fish steel hull with a 671 Detroit diesel engine as well as a 36 Cheoy Lee sailboat which was our home for 3 years which took us all through the Caribbean to the Panama Canal and back to our preferred place in Abaco Bahamas. I just want you to know what myself and Butterbean are all about.
