1978 Chris Craft Caribbean, Ketch

Flying Cloud was designed for offshore cruising and has been fitted out as a year round live-aboard. She is a comfortable boat both under sail and at anchor and was my full time residence in the northeast for 2 years. She has a had a lot of refits including a new Aqualoy prop shaft, new cutlass bearings and bronze prop, new exhaust system, which were installed last year. The Sparkman & Stephens design strikes a excellent balance between a comfortable living space and a solid seaworthy cruiser. The interior has details not usually seen on a sailboat including green marble counters and a Majolica sink with brass swan neck taps. Most of the seat covers have been newly upholstered with blue Sunbrella fabric. The boat was designed with 2 heads, one aft and one for the V-berth. The V-berth head was replaced last season and the aft head was removed to make room for a sail locker but the seacocks are still in place and this could be easily updated. She is spacious below decks with ample headroom.
Sail inventory includes: mizzen sail, main sail, genoa, working jib, two staysails. Flying cloud was recently repainted top and bottom, has been launched for the season and is currently moored in Bristol Rhode Island.
