DESCRIPTION:
Tayana 37 1978 Cutter (Mexico)
Honu, located in Puerto Peñasco, Sonora, Mexico, is for sale.
Proven cruising boat with a full keel and wooden spar, plenty of head room and storage. Worm wheel steering/seat, Perkins 4.108 50HP. A lot of new things on it since 2018, solar panels, electrical panel, batteries, inverter/charger, standing and running rigging, main sail, EPIRB, B&G electronics, etc. A lot of spare parts and maintenance products. Teak deck was removed in 2021 and painted with new nonskid in 2022.
Honu is on dry storage in the Cabrales boatyard. The mast is down, and a few hardwares needs to be reinstalled on the deck. SSB needs tune-up, fridge lost its coolant, but can be obtain from manufacturer easily, and need to finish installing the water maker.
Soltara was its previous name and the previous owner did a lot of upgrade, like new post, diesel tanks moved under cabin floor, new bowsprit, etc.. I can provide you with the previous owner info about the boat. This boat with a little TLC will bring satisfaction to his new owner. Can provide photos, specs, etc. Please serious inquiries only.
Could get ready to cross the Pacific next season, 2025, but cruise around the Sea of Cortez before.
