DESCRIPTION:

This is a great boat in very good condition for it's age with many recent updates. It's not a project, although it does have a few projects like every boat over 5 years old. This is an excellent cruiser for the northwest and inside passage - this was my plan. The Perkins 4-108 has 1621hrs, starts very easy and runs well without any smoke. The hull is solid fiberglass, the deck is fiberglass with a plywood core - I have drilled a few holesaw holes for projects and the plywood is bone dry, I still have the core samples for your inspection. The boat just feels solid. It is a very dry boat with no deck leaks. I have put many hours of my time (I was once a ABYC certified yacht outfitter and builder) working on this boat and about (mostly parts) into it last year. It comes with many new parts and spares.

Always-on AC bilge blower/vent - like all boats should have.

Upholstery dry cleaned

The interior is in great condition. Very open layout for its age that is great for sailing with family or friends, with the seating area forward, midships galley and head. It sleeps 5-6: 1 quarter berth stateroom to port, one open quarter berth to stbd, and the dinette/settee converts to a v-berth or 2 singles with lee cloths. The boat has a tremendous amount of interior storage including a very large forward locker.

After spending last summer and fall working on and upgrading the Endeavour, I decided that it was too small for my needs and I bought a much larger boat, I don't want to be a two boat owner for very long, so, I am listing it for far less then it is worth and I will take a heavy loss. If it does not sell within a month, I will complete a few of the last remaining projects (listed below) and list it with a broker instead. The listed price of k is not negotiable (no trades) and is as-is, I will probably take a 20k+ loss at this price but I don't have the time to mess with it. The boat is USCG documented in my name, we can transfer it using a bill of sale and USCG forms or use a marine title agency, either is fine with me. It is my understanding that the slip at Elliot Bay Marina will be available to the new owner if they want to keep it, I think EBM has a good promo deal available to both of us if you keep the slip...

Full transparency, to do list:
The new head tank needs to be installed, it's a day or less of work and all of the (quality) parts are on the boat. I will complete it myself if I end up listing with a broker, otherwise I will walk you though my plan.
The throttle shaft at the helm/pedestal needs to be re-tapped and a new set screw installed - the old screw snapped off - vice grips are the temporary replacement and work for now.
The freshwater system need to be gone though, it was winterized prior to my ownership and I have never pressurized it to test.
The running rigging needs to be cleaned.
The PO made the dodger/bimini/frame and other canvas, it either needs some love or to be removed - in my opinion.
The PO made a stand for the windlass, it should be inspected and re-worked or replaced.
The PO set polycarbonate in the three deck hatches using silicone, they need to be re-bedded with sikaflex, they are currently taped to prevent them from leaking.
One (of 2) solar panels was damaged in the strong winter winds at EBM and needs to be replaced or removed.
The hull would look great if it was wax/buffed.
The deck teak needs to be stripped or varnished.

OPEN HOUSE: I have met a bunch of folks who turned out to not be serious buyers, I really don't have the time or patience to do this again. So, I will be hosting an open house(boat) on Sunday 5/25 from 9am-12pm and Sunday 6/1 from 10am-2pm. If I don't have serious offers that are moving forward by 6/3, then I will list the boat with a broker and the price will likely double. Please email with any questions, and let me know if you want to come by the open house, I will reply with my number for you to call when you arrive at Elliot Bay Marina so that I can let you onto the dock.
