This 1986 Hunter 28.5 has a reliable Yanmar diesel, roller furling with a newer genoa, replaced standing rigging, and the marina may allow the buyer to assume the existing slip, subject to marina approval. We’ve owned the boat for the past four years and have enjoyed sailing her around the Tampa Bay area. She’s a comfortable cruiser with several important upgrades already completed. 1986 Hunter 28.5 LOA: 28’5” LWL: 23’9” Beam: 10’6” Draft: Approximately 5.5 feet Displacement: Approximately 7,000 lbs. Fiberglass hull Wheel steering B&R rig ENGINE Yanmar 2GM20F diesel inboard Starts easily and runs well Oil changed within the past year No hour meter SAILS & RIGGING Roller furling headsail New genoa installed after Hurricane Milton Original mainsail in good condition All standing rigging replaced approximately two years ago EQUIPMENT Shore power Solar battery charging system Batteries approximately three years old VHF marine radio INTERIOR Sleeps two comfortably Alcohol stove Icebox Marine head currently not operational Freshwater pump currently not operational HULL Bottom cleaned monthly Currently free of marine growth Bottom paint will eventually need to be renewed No known soft spots I prefer to describe the boat accurately so there are no surprises.
