DESCRIPTION:
I bought this boat as a project ( It had sat for several years under a covered carport after being winterized. ) I fogged the cylinders removed old fuel from the tanks. The boat fired right up and runs great ( clock shows 280ish hours) and the previous owner though it might be accurate because his dad and then his dads friend owned it before him. I took it out to alder lake and ran it around for an hour or so both under throttle as well as trolling. The boat is old and has scars, the biggest is a dent on the bottom (pretty common on old jetboats) the dent had a small puncture and was professionally patched by previous owner. The floors are old, carpeted plywood and show their age so I bought 5 new sheets of 7 ply MDO to cut new panels but have not cut them out yet. I also removed the old carpet that was glued to the sides and sanding down the glue. There is some light corrosion where the carpet was but it is all way above the waterline and NONE has caused any holes. The hull below the waterline is all easily accessable from slide in floor panels and has no corrosion. Finally, I bought a new tohatsu 20hp remote steer motor with power tilt and start ( 5 year transferable warranty) . It is just hung on the boat and I have the controls mounted but not hooked up, I can hook it to a battery and start if for any interested folks. I can unhook the driveline and run the 460 in the yard for interested folks as well ( don't run these Kodiaks out of water) basically I am selling a solid aluminum boat that will function as is if you want to just put the old floors back in ( 10 minute job) or perfect for someone who wants to build a fishing boat on a budget. I will also sell without the Tohatsu for 9500. other than that I am firm on the price, if it doesn't sell I will just keep chipping away at it.
