1991 Bayliner 3058 Command Bridge single power plant. The sleeps 5 comfortably, has amplified antenna, running water from a 30 gallon tank, hot water, head complete and has macerator installed. Air conditioner blows cold, stove top is a good size and the fridge keeps beer nice and cold. Interior is in fantastic, although not brand new shape. Canvas on the outside to cover the windshield in great shape. She is a wonderfully comfortable interior and all glass is in great shape. Comes with extras like power cords, bumpers etc.

Long story short, I obtained this boat knowing the original Mercruiser 454 engine and probably outdrive was shot. Since I had it at my marina, I enjoyed the evenings slip cruising as everything else worked on the boat.

I had her pulled to Crowne Point to get the motor swap complete. There, I had her bottom blasted and she is now ready for 2 coats of barrier and ablative.

Since then, I’ve built a Mercruiser outfitted 502 bored .030 over. I installed everything on the motor new from the box including rings, pistons, all bearings, Edelbrock manifold, Edelbrock marine carburetor, starter, alternator, exhaust manifolds, risers, gaskets, oil pan, and fresh water cooling. I’m sure I’m forgetting something but this motor was modeled after a k Michigan Motorz platform and I had it professionally machined and assembled by Apple Machine Shop in Yorktown. All other marine components assembled by a 30 year boat engine builder in Hayes. This motor will provide an additional 115hp and will run much easier that the original 454 which was rated at 310 – 330hp. One great thing about this boat is the size of the engine compartment. You can literally sit inside and work on the engine eye-level so changing oil, spark plugs, starter, etc is super easy. The new motor will last another 20 years with proper care.

The Bravo 3 outdrive was shot as I suspected, but I got lucky and was able to obtain a virtually new unit with less than 5 hours on it. Long story short, someone replaced their outdrive and then forgot to tie up the boat after launching it only to discover the boat on the rocks a way down with the outdrive unscathed. His loss my gain.

This is what you get….. beautiful project boat, new power plant that needs to be installed, almost new Bravo 3 outdrive, new transom assembly with new hydraulic rams. So she is in essentially in 3 pieces. The old dead motor is still in place and needs to be removed. The old motor is mostly stripped in place. I’m planning on painting the bottom with high quality paint.

There you have it. I’m hesitant to sell it even though it is a project but I am remote often. If I get the old motor pulled and the hull painted, I can seriously anticipate just finishing her out.

I am open to trades. Center console or an 19-22 foot fishing boat with a clean running 4-stroke interests me but I don’t wish to trade a project for a project. My title is in hand, if you are asking about a trade, yours should be as well.
