DESCRIPTION:
1996 Dauntless Dual Console.
The hulls on Boston Whalers are basically indestructible and this one is in great shape. Has all original hardware and components. Missing one far rear back cushion (you rarely would sit there unless you're trying to have nine people on board).
The boat is a great runabout. Plenty of space forward for sitting, comes with a picnic table for rear zone. Great for the Delta, etc.
The motor is a two-stroke Johnson 1996 V4, and that's the reason we are selling. This motor is not permitted on Lake Tahoe, so this boat is best to be owned in coastal California, not lake country (though OK at Bass Lake and some Yosemite lakes). We used it extensively in California and moved up to the Tahoe region. It has not been used for several years, but has been stored completely covered and washed frequently. There is also a chip in the chine of the motor, see photo, does not affect anything.
If repowered with a new four-stroke, this would be an amazing ride, essentially the equal of new k+ Boston Whalers in this size range.
I have it stored up in the Tahoe area, so if you are interested and are based down in the Bay Area or Southern CA, let me know and I will think of something.
