DESCRIPTION:

Are you looking for an amazing pilothouse boat that can handle almost anything you want to do?

Take you 60 miles offshore for tuna? Shuttle you in wind and spray-protected comfort to restaurants or peacefully overnight in marinas around the Bay and Delta? Pull kids on tubes and then head out for some crabbing or halibut, all without being too big or too small for just about anything?

This Skagit Orca 24 short cabin is an incredibly versatile and impressive vessel that shows tremendous depth of thought and understanding of the designers. Midship cleats that are recessed so you don’t snag yourself or stub a toe. Great nonskid on functional surfaces that are flat enough to stand on in a seaway, yet easily shed water. A huge, walkable cabin top with dedicated drain zones that also don’t land in the cockpit. The list goes on.

We have very cold water. This Orca is completely unsinkable due to the thick foam that’s injected throughout the hull. This is a very good thing.

Why is it listed as 1996/2021? The prior owners refit almost the entire boat during covid. They pulled the 120 gallon tank and flushed it, then rebedded it and ran new fuel lines (including an optional to the kicker mount). The twin 53” fish boxes drain to a macerator bilge pump with fresh hoses. A new crate motor was dropped in by the master mechanic co-owner, along with a new transom shield and lightly-used outdrive with Volvo Duoprops gauged for high torque and completely nick-free. Compared to most boats the motor is easy to access from many angles. There are pad mounts for Scotty downriggers with wiring under the gunwale, connected to circuit breakers (not fuses), backed by a house battery and an isolated starter battery that’s connected only to the onboard charger and primary bilge pump.

They put in a VHS with AIS and a powerful transducer that feed into the huge and flexible Furuno Navnet TZ Touch 2, plus Furuno radar and a Furuno autopilot with 2 hand remotes for driving from the cockpit. The brand new driving panel was custom laser cut and powder-coated, then populated with all new switches and wiring throughout the boat (at a level that would compete with a demonstration boat). There’s a ceramic head plumbed to a holding tank with optional overboard discharge if offshore. There’s a new Fusion stereo with Liquid Sounds speakers for your tunes. The headliner was redone with new vinyl, the cushion covers for the dinette and remarkably spacious cuddy cabin were similarly redone, the carpet cleaned… in pretty much all the ways that matter, it’s like a new boat for 30% of the cost.

Want to keep this Orca at your house or take it on the road? No problem, if you can tow it. It comes with an outstanding Pacific trailer rated to 10k pounds, open galvanized frame, fits the boat perfectly. When the prior owners got bored of updating every single thing on the boat, they focused on the trailer—new tires (5x including spare), bearing buddies, surge brakes, leakproof LED lights. The boat tows great and like the rest of the boat, it simply inspires confidence.

So how could I be so stupid to sell it? I keep asking myself the same question. I’d love to keep it since it’s awesome and has been able to effortlessly do literally everything I’ve wanted it to do. At the same time, as my son is getting older we’re tending to go sailing more often than not, so a lucky new owner will get to enjoy this one. Is that you? I’ll miss it dearly, though—by far the best motorboat I’ve ever owned.

Asking k, sold in confidence as is, where is. Reasonable cash offers considered in person only. I’m not in a rush to sell, but have both pink slips in hand and can sign on the spot if you’re ready.

No assistance needed in selling, and I’m super familiar with all the scams.
