15′ TWO PERSON ROWING SKIFF
This hand-crafted wooden two person Rangeley design rowing skiff built of Western Red Cedar is for sale by owner. The Rangeley fishing guide boat was first built in Maine in the early 1900s. This beautifully made, hand crafted skiff was built by a noted shipwright in Gig Harbor, Washington in 2016. It won a prestigious award at the Wooden Boat Festival in Port Townsend, Washington in 2017.
Its overall length is 15′ and beam width of 46" and center depth of 41. Weight capacity is 675 pounds.
Included are two sets of hand made spar grade Sitka spruce oars, a boat trailer built by a noted firm in Oregon and a smaller light weight trailer for launching the skiff by hand.
There are two positions for rowing, plus seating for a third person. This skiff is easily carried by two people as it weights only 95 pounds.
Condition is near perfect as its been stored inside for the past 2 years. It is varnished both inside and outside.

Construction:
Cold molding techniques were used which utilized System 3 epoxy (silver tip) and fiberglass over bead and coved cedar strips.
Oars:
The spooned Oars are hand made from spar grade Sitka spruce.
Lumber:
The logs were salvaged from varies locations around the Puget Sound and were used for the construction of the hull.
The logs were personally milled into lumber on my Woodmizer sawmill and allowed to air dry for two years.
