2016 Bowfishing Fan Boat

Up for sale is my custom-built bowfishing boat. It is built on an Ouachita hull, but everything on it is custom fabricated from scratch. Boat will easily fish in 4” of water. Try that with a kicker rig or trolling motor! Fan was kept low, allowing this boat to store in a garage with standard 8’ tall doors. This entire boat was built for one purpose, to kill fish. I’m only selling it because my kids and I have lost interest in bowfishing. Specs of the build below:
- 16’ X 72” wide bowfishing boat built on an Ouachita hull.
- 75 HP Johnson Outboard mounted on custom float pod / offset. Steering is controlled by stick steer to keep the floor space open.
- 6 custom built 400 Watt HPS lights run off a quiet Yamaha 2800 W Generator. Lights are in 3 banks (Bow, Starboard, and Port) and can be turned on / off independently. Lights run off digital ballasts and can be turned down to 250 Watts if you choose. If you’ve ever shot off a boat with HPS, you’ll throw rocks at LED lights. Glare off the water is WAY less and they penetrate further, especially in muddy water.
- Custom built 42” pusher fan spun by a 25 hp Kohler. Fan is controlled by a single joystick from the front deck. Up / Down for throttle, Left / Right to steer. Fan is fully shrouded for safety and will turn a full 360 degrees allowing the boat to back up if needed.
- Shark eye front nav lights / clear running light on top of the fan shroud.
- Green interior LED lights.
- Bilge pump.
- Lowrance HDS 7 mounted on a swivel mount on console with GPS for navigating lakes at night.
- Trailer is custom built using all steel, including the bunks which are coated with ¾” HDPE plastic so the boat slides on/off the trailer easily. LED trailer lights and new tires. Matching spare tire as well.
- BOAT IS BUILT TO FIT INTO A STANDARD 8’ GARAGE DOOR FOR EASY STORAGE! This compact size also helps a lot when fishing tree lines or going under low bridges.
- Paint is simple Rust O Leum in army green from Home Depot. If the boat starts to scratch up, hit it with a couple cans. It makes it easy to keep looking good even if you fish in the trees and rocks like we did.
Boat will come ready to fish with current boat tags, trailer registration, and a clear title. All oil changes / maintenance just completed on gen, fan motor, and outboard this week. Can be seen and ran in Grandview, Texas. Lake test available for a serious buyer.
