Like new G3 Bay 20 Deluxe boat, Yamaha 150 4-stroke motor, Aluminum tandem-axle trailer, trolling motor, fish finder, dual aerated live wells, and accessories for sale.

Be sure to compare and consider both the non-standard factory and after-market accessories when comparing value.

You may have never owned or considered a bay boat. Bay boats are a popular type of boat because they are great for cruising, fishing, diving or really any activity on large or small bodies of water because of their ability to navigate shallow water or handle rough waves. This boat will run in 20" to 24" of water if on plane thanks to the integrate floats on the transom. The greater deadrise and overall hull design allow them to handle rougher water.

There are very few boat sizes or types that will do a good job fishing, cruising, pulling skiers, on bodies of water of all sizes meaning they can run in shallow water and handle big waves, keep you dry, safe, comfortable with shade that does not interfere with fishing – but this boat is one that can do all of that. In a word it is versatile.

We purchased the boat new in June 2020. It has the extended Yamaha 150 four-stroke YES warranty through June 2025 which is 5 years vs normal 3 year warranty. There are approximately 42 hours on the boat but we are still using it so this will change.

The boat just had it’s initial break-in service where all filters and fluids were changed by the dealership.

For fishermen the boat has two aerated live wells. One is a 14-gallon in front of the console under the seat and the other is a divided 31 gallon behind the leaning post.

All factory options plus some that are not available from the factory including:

(1) boarding ladder
(2) digital hour meter
(3) digital battery level meter
(4) dual USB charger
(5) 9" Lowrance Elite 9 Ti2
(6) optional Navionics charts for Lowrance Elite 9 Ti2
(7) optioal Lowrance 3-in-one active imaging transducer with downscan, sidescan, temperature
(8) 5-year extended Yamaha warranty
(9) 24-volt saltwater series trolling motor
(10) dual onboard battery charger
(11) two professional deep cycle batteries

This is over in accessories added not counting the factory accessories like T-top. So don’t be fooled by the new boat price advertised. You won’t get out of the dealership for that. You will pay delivery, setup, accessory installation and other dealer fees plus the cost of the accessories.

The factory options include the upgraded tandem axle trailer with brakes and wheels, the T-top, the leaning post backrest, the maximum 150 HP motor, jack plate,

G3 is a Yamaha company. The hull has an excellent design. It fully planes at under 16 MPH. There is almost no bow rise on hole shot. I rarely use more than 1/2 power to get on plane as acceleration is great without more throttle. It is all-aluminum with zero wood or other material to rot. The console is fiberglass and there is one plastic cover for the dry storage but everything else is aluminum or stainless steel.

With 2 passengers, full fuel, gear, full live well the top speed is around 49 MPH. With a single passenger it will exceed 50 MPH on GPS with full fuel and gear.

At 18 to 24 MPH the boat handles the largest waves without a rough ride.

The hull on this all-welded G3 boat is probably the driest hull I have ever owned or ridden in with absolutely no splash or over-spray which is amazing. The dry ride means you can use it when the weather is colder and not fear being soaked.

We followed Yamaha new engine break-in procedures to the letter.

We have only used premium no-ethanol fuel. We log every gallon put in the boat since new. We had burned exactly 83 gallons in the first 35 operating hours. That is an average of 2.37 gallons per hour. We typically run between 21 and 33 miles per hour. We find the RPM range between 2,700 and 3,200 seems to be the most efficient.

The G3 Bay 20 DLX is a very good cruising boat and fishing boat. It is very easy to tow, launch, or load. I love the center console with large steering wheel and leaning post handles. The T-top is nice because it provides shade without interfering with fishing.

It handles very well whether running down the lake on plane or maneuvering around the dock or launch. The large wheel with spinner enables quick lock-to-lock which makes docking a breeze. The trailer tows well and the light weight (under 3,000 lbs. for boat, motor and trailer) means any vehicle can tow it.

We have taken two weekend trips where we had 4 and 5 people on the boat. It is rated for 8 passengers but is well suited to 1 to 5. It would easily fish 3 people.

The "T Top" is nice because it provides shade but does not get in the way of fishing like a typical top does. It also provides a place to hang life jackets to dry.

The boat does not have a ski tow bar but one could easily be added. Even without a tow bar and with 4 adults, full fuel and gear the boat will easily get a 225 lb. slalom skier up. That is pulling from the eye bolt on the transom. It would pull a lot better from a ski tow bar.

The boat has two removable pedestal fishing seats with matching upholstery. The pedestal mounts are the screw-in type for more security.

If you like a boat that gets on plane quickly with no bow rise you will love this G3 Bay boat. You don’t even need to use full throttle and the boat jumps on plane in a couple of seconds with barely any rise in the bow at all.

It is a really great lake or bay cruising boat. Mostly because you can stop completely then start again without even adjusting the trim if you were running in the low 20’s, you can be on plane in a couple of seconds, you can slow from 30 or more to 16 without losing plane, you can turn full lock at most speeds and never have any prop cavitation or blow out. The hydraulic steering with the large wheel is almost effortless and very smooth. So in busy water with a lot of boats where you are turning and slowing or speeding up a lot the boat is super responsive and easy to handle. It will plow through rough waves without getting you wet and if you slow down to 19 to 24 you get almost no impact.

We have had the boat on 9 different lakes from the 66,000 acre Lake Cumberland that is the houseboat capital of the world and has a lot of really big multi-engine boats on it where the water can get really rough to the skinny and crowded 2,000 acre Taneycomo lake which is really a river between two dams where there is a lot of slow traffic or stationary fishermen in narrow areas you have to move around. The boat performs excellent whether the water is 2 feet or 250 feet deep, smooth or rough.

Try to find a boat that does well on both those bodies of water. The G3 Bay 20 Deluxe with the Yamaha 150 outboard does it because it was made for small intercoastal waters of bays as well as limited offshore when the weather is right. Yamaha calls it a no-compromise boat and I would agree. There just isn’t much you can’t do with this boat. Including afford to buy and operate it.

You can fill it up with premium no-ethanol fuel at the gas station and use it on a 3-day weekend fishing, cruising and pulling skiers or tubers and not run out of fuel. The 30 gallon fuel tank will last over 12 hours of engine run time in mixed use. If you ran it wide-open throttle all the time it wouldn’t but cruising around in the mid-20’s to mid-30’s or pulling some water toys and idling around marinas etc. you can expect anywhere from 9 to 12 plus hours out of a tank of fuel.

There are not many boats that you can comfortably take 4 or more adults, a cooler, fishing tackle, water toys, and spend 3 days on the water without a fill-up on 30 gallons of fuel and do it on small or large bodies of water safely and comfortably. This boat can.

The boat, motor and trailer are in great shape. It has a scratch on one side that was there when we bought it due to damage on transport from factory to dealer. It also has a scratch on one part of the T-top that was also there when we bought it and a couple of small scratches on the console that were done during installation of gauges. Other than that the boat is just like it left the factory with 42 engine run hours.

You are going to spend plus to get this same boat with the same factory and dealer-installed options added after paying sales tax, delivery, document fees, dealer prep, buying the batteries, the trolling motor the hour gauge, the USB charger, the graph and fish finder, the transducer, etc.

Another good thing about the all-aluminum, all-welded, wood-free boat and aluminum trailer is the light weight. It is easy to hook up, tow and launch. We launch it with the truck camper on and it is no problem.

Delivery available for additional fee depending on distance.
