DESCRIPTION:

I am selling my European built gaff-rigged schooner because of time constraints for completion.
She is 54' on deck and has a flush deck. This vessel has a completely round hull in steel. No round radius or chines anywhere including the keel area. This boat has many maritime antique pieces such as a figurehead (cast iron) and antique interior wood from
the 16th century. Sails are by Ratsey and Lapthorn and they are completely refurbished. I installed a new John Deere 6068 diesel with a Twin Disc transmission.......0 hrs. on both. The boat has been reballasted with 21,000 lbs. of lead and put into 32 separate accessible ballast holds (welded).
This vessel also has a large teak wheelhouse and a copper riveted sailing tender that is stored on deck with a winch and boom system to load/unload. This boat also features many Blake and sons thru-hulls as well as baby blake heads.
There is much more to this custom vessel and is only for lovers of traditional sailing craft with emphasis on steel construction including the masts.
Other items on board is a full engine room jackshaft from which operates the scuba compressor, crash pump and hydraulic pump via clutches. The anchor windlass has a capacity of 10,000 lbs. and puts the anchor in a hawsepipe.
A 10 ft. bowsprit also adds another 10 ft to the length but can be raised upon port entry easily to save fees.
This vessel is a very substantial craft actually falling under "ship" status. The frames are on 16” centers and there are no longitudinals.
I would be happy to discuss this boat only to very serious buyers with financial means and not dreamers.......please. I am assembling many photos in a separate album but this boat really needs to be seen to be appreciated.
This is a project boat that huge potential and an approximate investment of 8 months time but very little money. All removed parts and pieces are stored and racked in a shipping container for security and ease of access.
The boat is located under cover and can be worked on and stay where it is on my property for a limited time up to a year. That means this requires a serious effort and commitment. I will be available for input and guidance having worked on it myself. All parts are stored on shelves and re-installable. I have all the tools necessary to finish this project and am willing to discuss their use.
I know this is a lot to process, any questions please write me.
Please respond to ad and I will contact you and thanks for taking the time
to read this..............
